anyhoo, last ww for a while, i feel i have scratched that itch well for a while... time to channel other dumb ideas huzzah!
... I just realized that sword is magic. She could take out Supes with that.
But I'm puzzled. Wonder Woman should not be able to use the Sword of Protection as she is not an ancestor of King Grayskull as far as we know. In addition, the gem in the sword is not blue or red suggesting this is not the real Sword of Protection that can call upon the Power of Grayskull. So why is Wonder Woman using an imitation Sword of Protection? Is she envious of She-Ra, the most powerful woman in the universe? Has she something mischievous in mind with He-Man? Anyone have any thoughts......
I’ve had another thought.
If we assume the sword is meant to be the real Sword of Protection and can only be used by She-Ra as shown in DC MOTU Comics then She-Ra must have activated the sword with a purpose. If we then look at the image for clues as to what that purpose might be we see “Game Over in: 3…. 2…. 1….” indicating the finale of a battle is near and a smirk on Wonder Woman’s face which could indicate she is at ease and confident of victory, or perhaps over-confident and heading for a fall. Taken together these suggest She-Ra is going to use the sword to either KO Wonder Woman through electrocution (as Storm famously did in the DC-Marvel crossover) or transform into an object such as a body-cuff to incapacitate Wonder Woman (as She-Ra once did with Skeletor).
Such a clever ploy to fool Wonder Woman into being at ease during a battle before launching the final blow would be typical She-Ra as unlike Wonder Woman who often uses brute force and her fighting skills to win against powerful opponents, She-Ra relies first on using her versatile power sword and on out-manoeuvring and out-thinking her powerful opponents (e.g. Hordak) to win.
Stjepan Sejic could well have demonstrated superb knowledge of both superheroines here as well as being quite subtle and cunning! This enigmatic image is perhaps one of his masterpieces.
Pretty accurate though. This would be game-over. She loves war too much.
