How on God's green earth do you manange to do such incredibly beautiful, detail rich work on a monthy schedule? BTW it is awesome to have you here on DA, and your art is the reason I picked up the Witchblade for the first time in MANY years.
Good details, very correct of the time. Though I can't remember this warlord from my local history lessons, hehe
The only thing I'm not sure about, are their armor. This picture made in 1877 [link] is from the battle of Stiklestad (1030 A.D.)shows the normal clothing of the time. This was one of the biggest battle in Norway of the time. Though this picture [link] made in the 19th century, cleary shows armor of your kind (Btw. this is also a picture of the battle of Stamford).
I know that it would have made this scene a bit doll without the armor, but I'm a Norwegian and can't help nipping a bit about it
(After looking a bit in Norwegian wikipedia, I discovered that the iron age reached Norway around 500 AD, so it's likely that they had armor as you drew. So 2 toms up for your work man!)
