gargoyles goliath 3d fun by nebezial gargoyles goliath 3d fun by nebezial
well someo of you know ive been wondering why gargoyles havent been made into a movie... it still confuses me, .. to tha point i wanted to see how they would look in 3d

and no this has notheing to do with the fanart voting, if gargoyles win there its gonna be my usual approach a full groupshot

this was more for fun to see how a cinematic style goliath could be pulled off . and yes it was fun to do

made it in zbrush from zsketch, polypainted and rendered in zbrush also and composited in photoshop

and i just noticed from thumbnail that he kinda has a hugo weawing sort of a thing going on XD

Can you make the others like this? Its amazing and it bugs me that they dont really get a movie. (I know they made the first episode parts into a movie)

Oh my gosh you're right. He does have a Hugo W. going on there.

If they ever do make a movie, he should do the voice of Goliath.

HOLY MONKEY NUTTER one of my favorite artists ever likes one of my new favorite shows.
*twitches and dies from the amazingness*
I'm also surprised it hasn't been made into a movie... if they used designs like these and had Peter Jackson direct it... that might be amazing.

Oh darn you to heck evil tempter *pouts*! I was all excited when I first saw this; I thought it was concept art for a live action movie. *mutter* Evil dream-ruiner person, you *grumble*.

Of course, if they did make a movie I would totally expect Ron Pearlman to play Goliath. Between Vincent from the 'Beauty and the Beast' series and the Hellboy movies, he's basically got acting with huge face prosthetic down to a science now :eager:

Well now of course you have to do all the other Gargoyles just to make up for this disappointment, lolz ;P

I'm actual kinda scared looking at this just imagine if this version of Goliath was real? I would not want to meet this guy in a dark alley.

I can only imagine what your version of Brooklyn would look like. I guess he'd look the scariest lol

Like many here who as grown in the 90's i loved Gargoyles.

It was one of the first cartoons, that wasn't completly goofing around or for "children", it was serious, dark, appealing, and god was it good.

At least until the 3rd Saison of the cartoon..., well whats in the past is the past, but i would love to see a new version of this cartoon, just with what they did to Thundercats!

So... You've had this pic here for quite a while... Any chance of seeing you work up the rest of the body in a nice iconic pose? Anytime Gargoyles gets some hype my heart warms up just little bit more.

I wish they'd continue this series so much! It was easily my favorite on Disney. I like what you did here but at the same time, he almost looks a little too gruff, a little too frightening. I get that thats part of the series in teaching people to see beyond outward appearances but....well either way, this is an amazing job. I'm curious to see the other gargoyles and Elisa. Keep up the awesome work!!

I think a movie like this would be best left in Cameron's hands, since he has the means to do it lol. :)

still holding on the hope you'll draw a character study (or full body shot) of Demona and/or Elisa Maza

Also, Young Justice Invasion art would be SO awesome! Can you guys imagine M'Gann or Artemis drawn by our Lord Nebezial

I love your take on Goliath - it's new and unexpected, but you can still get a sense of his personality here. I've always wondered how Gargoyles would translate to the big screen, and this really gives me a feel for what it would be like. I wonder if it would be all CGI/Motion Capture or if extreme makeup would be used...

I'd love to see what Demona would look like in your style!

Its really awesome, my only problem is is his horns. I thought they were more of a fringe around his hairline, not coming so far out of his forehead and brow area. Very badass job, regardless.
