have you looked into wether your dragons can be linked into a 3D printer as im sure there is a niche market there for you.

I saw one of the videos...cool! I'd like to do such things, but i cannot buy zbrush...so i found a free software, sculprits...do you think is good enough? Could you do a dragon like this with sculprits? :)

I haven't tried myself but it's from Pixologic too and I know some incredible artists that use it...
I just thought you'd like to know

That is absolutely amazing to watch from beginning to end. I picked up Zbrush and have been meaning to learn it, but I seem to lack the time. Seeing you whip out this Dragon is extremely inspiring.
Thanks for sharing!!

Fantastic work. :) Very much attention to detail and nuance. May I ask how you render your dragons? Do you do it in Zbrush?

GREAT!!

THANK YOU very much Nebz.

Personally i would love to see the process of your sculpting, since i am learning on my own Zbrush, and i have commented to you a few months ago, so im going to watch the videos right now.

Really apreciated the kindness, of taking the effort of making new videos, specially in the middle of the storm of Ravine publication.

Best regards, hope all is going well

Is the process using ZBrush really faster? I checked your videos and thought that really looks very complicated. Is it not easier for an accomplished artist, as you are, to just pencil or paint in PS?

The model gets him any angle he wants, meaning he can use it as many times as he wants, rather than drawing it over and over again.

Gotta say, I'm curious what you use these dragon busts for (and apologies if you've answered this before). Are they just a for-fun exercise, or do you use them for your comics, or something else entirely?

i have answered this over and over again XD so one more time, i use them for my comic ravine, i combine busts with standard painting to speed up my productivity

Sorry for the repeat question, in that case. ^^;
That's pretty awesome, though; pretty much the same reason I'm wanting to fiddle around with Zbrush, though I'd probably end up making the process much too complicated and not at all productive. ;P

Looking forward to Ravine, by the way; my comic collection is pitifully small, and this is looking like a great way to start filling it up.

I never understood ZBrush's UI. Mudbox is so much easier because it's camera controls are similar to Maya and 3D Max. Granted I still let it sit on my desktop collecting digital dust because I've been far to lazy to actually use it. :|

I've recently come across a program developed by Pixologic (the same people responsible for Zbrush) that has a way simpler UI and is much easier to get into as a beginner called Sculptris. Best of all is that it's free=)
