one of if not the best villain for me, so i just found out a movie is being made...with angelina jolie. personally im not a jolie fan, but she can act so imma give ti a benefit of a doubt, but somehow maleficent just works perfectly with thinner malicious lips XD

aanyways so it hit me like a ton of bricks, for all the love i got for the character , i never tried to draw her so i went with a fun quick reinterpretation.

this took about 45 minutes, thats the advantage of digital inking, you get to make some cool brushes too

Why can't more fan work surrounding this caharcter be this amazing?! She almost looks like she belongs in a horror film the way you redesigned her, which I hope is the approach they do with film (like Polanski's Rosemary's Baby or DePalma's Carrie). If they have brains, they should use this design.

I'm not thrilled about Maleficent either. I don't care for Angelina Jolie. I think it's horribly casted in that effect. Truly, I'm just annoyed. I wish they could just leave Maleficent alone... she's an amazing villain. She shouldn't be given a back story because that would ruin her. I want her to stay evil and not have some 'reason' to be evil.
