How long do these take you? I can see that they're done straight into the computer and with the same quick strokes as the rest of your work, and I've tried to breakdown the process used. Have you ever considered doing one of these done in time-lapse sometime? I'd love to see the process unfold in real time.
i like the visual side of them but never got in the stories for a very simple reason... i never felt they mattered. at this point the genre is all about cheap events, overhyped deaths and retcons, nothing anyone writeds ultimately matters mere few months down the line
also nowadays its all just too damn serious. the key to good writing it to allow your character to do something humanly moronic, the basic stupidity that makes the character relateable.... unfortunately nowaday its a bunch of flexing, frowny faces and drama that more often than not feels fisted in
I hate the fact that you just know that a character who died isn't going to stay dead for long. And if they are, they still come back at some point. And events will be swept under the rug soon and status-q will come back.
I agree 100% what you say. I too like the visual side and the movies seem great. But the actual comics are just bogged down by the fact that as you said, plot doesn't matter. This is actualy what bothers me about them too.
