Incredible tone work. Honestly - it makes me think that airbrushing [otherwise] steals some of the grit and realism - in the same way that a good author respects the [intelligent/creative] audience and let's them fill out the mental images. Also - sometimes 'black and white' (read: white, black and the infinite gradations between) is more attractive than color - photography often being a good example. The inherent speed of your work adds motion and texture. At any rate - these are much more than doodles - they're mini masterpieces.
