ravine- how dragons are made XD by nebezial ravine- how dragons are made XD by nebezial
once, ages ago , a mysterious magical artefact known as zbrush was created by digital mages and....

well , tis my favorite program next to photoshop, most organic program for digital modelling with a fast learning curve, and patches my drawing style... it was a match made in heaven...aaaaaaahhhh my preciousss

and it will save my ass soo much because the final battle in ravine ..well...i kinda go too far XD, so zbrush will help speed me up while maintaining the desired qualits...

lol at this point my digital painting is like actors, and zbrush is like addition of cinematic special effects. highly recomment the program to everyone who wants to try digital modelling

you literally feel like you have digital clay that you are having fun with and has great options to color and render your models.. and even its price is very reasonable given the options it presents , and the fact that it is among the most used tools in movie and videogame inrdustry

Wow! O.O Really impressive!
These are actually 3D-models, aren't they? Like you can turn them around and stuff...
But as always - the designs and the amount of detail is simply awesome!

I feel pretty much the same way. What bothers me though is how some people are snobbish about it. They have this attitude like "oh.... you sculpted that in Zbrush," as if Zbrush magically does all the work for you. XC Uhg. It drives me batty.

But anyway, yes, Zbrush is !@#$%^&*ing magic.

Yeah I agree,it's like if you tell someone that you are a digital painter they think you just press the magical "make art" button on your computer and hey presto! I think Zbrush is to clay what Photoshop is to paper, it's a tool.

I'm always confused when it comes to making dragon heads. I never get where to make the horns come out, how to give the head a different shape, where to make the ridges etc. I guess, this will give me a good idea of how I can go about making dragons now.
And, I LOVE the amount of details you have put in these. I think I should re-start 3D and this time, give zBrush a chance.

These are amazing! Now that you recommend it, I'll definitely try it out. I'm not much of a clay modeler, but it would be cool to give it a try - see if I got what it takes for the videogame industry! :w00t:
