This is one of my very favorite pieces of all time. The title really invokes a vast emotional cascade that's overshadowed by an irrevocable sense of duty. I know I'm taking liberty by not knowing the storyline behind it. But as art does it stirs up an emotional response and my take on this is absolutely and altruistically heroic. Bravo!
Wonderful!!! This reminds me very much of a dragonrider paladin character I had once, sort makes me want to draw her again. I may do something inspired by this concept, though compositionally different.
Her face is the best part of this. It's wonderful.
wow, I'd really like to read this series, but living in Germany, I think I am going to have some trouble getting my hands on it.
Anyway, I've got a question: Apart from the brilliant work and amazing looks and details - why in hell doesn't her chain mail cover her armpits? It was already bothering me when I saw her on your issue cover. It's such a vulnerable point and leaving it to the open like that makes absolutely no sense ... I mean, it's better than the averabe chain mail bikini. But ... why?!?
may i ask, is this position for the tail really necessary? why not put the tail around the character, shaping a frame perhaps? or even, maybe, making a significative symbol, like the eye on the A letter?
and again, it's a marvelous image, you worked perfectly with the metal of the armour, the colors, the grass, the wrinkled texture of the tail...
