well he always seems to stumble near some kryptonite so i guess having some body armor for the many times he is vulnerable isn't a bad idea

I'm with Black Canary. She's one of the coolest DC superheroines, and yet they keep making her wear fishnet stockings!

Superman doesnt do acrobats like Canary. He just punches stuff/ villains when the script tells him to, otherwise he is the best punching bag in the universe.

There is when you're fighting supervillains and people with edged weapons. Seriously, there's some major arteries at risk.

There is no risk. Black Canary is a badass who uses acrobatic tactics to dodge bullets and she can just scream an army of "edges" like they were nothing, Also she like the black widow of the DC universe With a sonic canon, not a disney princess. So drop it.

And if we are talking sense, I can say the same about superman, If he gets his energy from the sun why cover 90% of your body with a blue skin tight cryptonian latex suit with a red cape which further blocks the sun when he flies, instead of a Sunlight absorbing real armor which enhances and controls his powerful senses and also protects him from Cryptoknite.

Hmm... no. See, a physically ordinary human (which Canary is, vocal powers excepted), even at the height of physical fitness, can't dodge bullets, no matter how acrobatic they are. And while I'm sure she could kick the butt of pretty much anyone physically human in hand to hand combat, what if she's fighting someone and someone else

Krypton was pretty advanced, scientifically speaking - I'm pretty sure that it doesn't prevent him from absorbing sunlight. Also, not only are there beings that can hurt him, the simple fact is, he's invulnerable, his clothes usually aren't. The guy lives on a budget, ya know. Invulnerable clothing comes in very useful, if only as a cost saving measure.

And the sort of armour you suggest would be a ridiculous game breaker.

Naw, she has the best armor of all. Plot armor. Ain't nuthin gon get her. Meanwhile, all the towering villains in badass, actually protective armor get their shit kicked in.

EVERY comic book character dodges bullets, whether you THINK they can or not isn't a factor in the fact it does happen. Plus, there's a proven method on doing so.

See, you don't dodge the bullet, you just take advantage of a bullets trajectory by moving faster than a person's trigger finger. Bullets move faster than humans, so you don't move faster than the bullet, you move faster than the human controlling the gun.

Bullets don't bend. Once the mechanism goes off, its trajectory doesn't change so it's not is if it'll magically follow you if it misses, that would actually be unrealistic. The method takes advantage of this by laying focus on the opponents trigger finger ,which will tell you where the bullets going to go, and making the necessary movement adjustment in the insta-second between the guy pulling the trigger and the mechanism releasing the bullet.

Comic books and other forms of fiction take this to its extreme by having characters dodge multiple bullets at once because they have the ability to calculate bullet trajectory much faster than people in real life. Though, since I don't know everyone in the world, I can't say that there's no one who could perform the feat on a comic book level, making that guess would be stupidly naive of human capability....but there's probably no one who could do it...

So yeah, "dodging bullets" or what people consider to be "dodging bullets"? Yeah, that is in no way impossible for a human being....but don't be stupid and go try it....why risk it?

Aye, superman has what is basically a corona of light around him which prevents anything that would be minor drain on his energy to not even touch his suit. Lead based bullets from a small army with only stark tech grade high powered sniper rifles would be only worth the attention that they get from him and would only be a priority if he is fighting something worth his time as it would be a bit distracting.

sorry, I hate to be that guy but...

The suit itself is not bullet proof, superman's body creates a thin aura witch protects him and his cloths and no ones forcing her to wear that.

Sorry but I had to get that off my chest, still amazing art as always!

and its subjective, sometimes his physical abilities is from sheer body density and not form a bio electric aura and in those inacarnations the suit is kryptonian and shares the density advantage.

Well, considering how often writers go the whole "Supermans powers are getting weaker" route, him wearing a bulletproof costume for those sorta days might actually be a good idea.  A touch paranoid, but still a good idea.
