this is why i always pick being bad XD
The Thalmor are taking over!!! RUUUUUN!
Seriously though, this is really cool!
Probably why I don't star in any comic books, I suppose.
ooohhh, new twitch page~
i can't wait for the comic~ X3
that aint his sword XD
i get not wanting to buy a book, we vote with out wallets, perfectly reasonable ... just..
however... calling this a non canonical alternate universe frivolity... when we just recently rebooted the main universe into literally an alternate universe and junked many things over time as non canonical... yknow, it just sounds a little redundant. XD
Wasn't trying to offend you. I adore you work, and have bought all of it so far where I can find it including Ravine. Just this young witchblade I'm not sold on yet. I don't get it. The top cow universe was my favorite comic universe. It had great lore, and history building up with all its artifacts. The top cow universe reboot didn't thrill me either. I like learning about the history, and interactions of all the artifacts so for me much like all other entertainment... you have to read through much filler to get to new information or evolution of the story's universe. The stories in between may be great, but to me its just waiting for those tiny bits of informational greatness.
This young witchblade book is an alternate universe though isn't it? Or is it the pre-pezzini bearer now?
Maybe I was too blunt with my statement, and offended people. My hope was just that you would know the dissenting opinion of one loyal fan on why they won't be buying the book. I could still be convinced to. I just haven't been yet on a superficial level.
this book is something on the side. a gateway book. you see no matter how good a universe is, new readers will feel put off by a ton of continuity.
twitch is basically an alternate universe. but it is not a frivolous one, in fact the stories are gonna be bigger and more epic than ever. in a way it is a sort of an artidfacts book. and no not all the bearers will be young. some are the same as in the oold universe.
pezzini is around, and she actually will be quite important in this one.
one huge major difference is in the way mary uses the witchblade.
with her open attitude towards alien stuff she becomes a different kind of bearer. being able to call upon help from previous bearers and ask for advice , she is capable of insanely cool things....
she channels the battle skills and traits of those bearers.
patience, there are 40 ish pages to be made for full oversized issue 1, and all will be shown here before we do the kickstarter.
maybe i'll get you to change your mind
First of all, nobody cares if _you_ are not interested in "non-canonical alternate universe frivolity".
Second of all, "non-canonical alternate universe frivolity"? Congratulations, you have a vocabulary.
Third, if you don't have anything nice to say, and your criticism is not productive, why did you even bother commenting?
One of the reasons I appreciate Nebezial is that he works hard on his art and it shows. He takes the time to do clever "frivolous" things, not because he's being paid for it, but because he wants to share his enthusiasm. Without artists like him deviating from the a-typical story line there wouldn't even be a Top Cow Comics, so you might want to learn how to appreciate a person's effort, even if you're not into the story.
You take great offense at a statement that wasn't directed at you, or meant as a slight to the artist. I didn't use crass or explosive vulgar language to simply say "stupid" or something else similarly said often without thought on comment threads. Instead of raging on a person who actually has a negative opinion, instead of the normal numerous posts of people finding different ways to say they like the art, how about you take the high road. I prefer to follow Voltaire's sentiments: "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."
I greatly enjoy Seijic's work, including his humorous superhero jokes, and raunchy sunstone comic; which I can't wait to purchase. If you like his work on this book, I hope sincerely that you purchase it to support him and top cow. They could use the purchase. I try to support them as much as i can since i know their books only sell on average between 5-10k copies. This story concept is just not what I would like to see from them, so i wanted to make that opinion known to someone who works with them in the hopes it could have some influence on future work even if i am in minority.
Passive aggressively... I'm sorry my use of medium sized words like frivolous makes you feel stupid? It's simply the reason why I did not want to purchase it offhand. I'm not even sure how I could make that phrase more simple without losing meaning. Why would you insult someone over use of vocabulary? lol. I don't know if you live in America, but that kind of growing anti-intellectualism in our social culture that scares me.
