I am really glad you shared this! It makes me happy to finally see how you use your guideline (and even that fact that you do). I have been working hard to work on my character development skills and in order to do that, I know I have to be able to draw the same character with different emotion and with various angles. It has been hard for me but seeing the guidelines in the two character with them still there helps...a whole lot. While may not have been your intention for this to be education in anyway. It was for me.
Thanks. As always, you rock!
P.S I am left handed too and it tend to be rare for me to find character head that drawn with a left-facing profile; most people tend to draw profiles facing the right so finding profile reference that are left is hard..with guidelines are even harder. While the one on the far right sadly does not have guidelines; it still helps too. You made my day (or night depending on the time zone and when you read this ha ha-I'm on the East Coast at 11p at night and actually should be going to bed. I gotta get up early tomorrow to take my son to the physical therapy! Yike! See ya'
Are you working for a company? Or are you just doing the art for the arts sake?
Fantastic work, ive been solidly impressed by all you've done! Whether you are operating professionally or not, keep pushing the envelope and delivering the quality!
