okay, so after a swarm of questions many of which left me with my jaw on the floor... i realized something...
people are afraid of pushing a button to see what it does
okay, to backtrack first. i am self taught in photoshop, had no books had no tutorials, had a borrowed i think 7... dunno which was before cs2 when i started, i learned it by ....pressing a button and seeing what it does
i explored, i tried stuff out.
i had no teachers no schools no education on this stuff
i saw a button i pressed it.
that is how about 9 years ago when i first decided to try and apply digital coloring to early pages of ravine, i was dabbing paint on a page. i came to the point where i had to paint a waterfall. so , just for fun i tried putting scattering on the foam brush i made, a simple thing. and i was gonna see if smudge could be scattered. it had a weird side effect.

ravine is out!aaand 11 years of work finaly comes to fruition...
now to walk the full 12 issue journey.
and to get it to here....whooo boy it took its steps

10 years ago this is how it looked....
and then got redrawn, changed and upgraded about 20 times, hundreds of pages discarded as i progressed
but now, it finally started. over these 4 years i have to get all twelve 160 page issues out... and the last one 200 pages
lots of work to do!

aand ravine previews are coming init is a special feelign when a 11 years in the making project is finally about to hit the light of day

you wanna get good....then don't be a hater!okay so here is a tip
i have seen in my life many artists who proclaimed they want to develop their skills, and kept bashing on everyone and everything on the way....and for some reason those guys never got anywhere...
here is why..
there is a value to different approaches, different styles. realism, manga , cartooney disney, my little pony, furries....don't waste your time tryint to bash any of the stuff you don't personally like
you are missing out, bigtime!
see there is a reason why that stuff is popular. and by that i mean on the visual side. so instead of flaming , trolling and bashing, try understanding the inner workings of it.
here are some specific examples
realism- it is a wonderfully complex base , reflects one's skill in capturing reality, but in it there are differences between photo referenced, real life work and no reference. ALL HAVE THEIR VALUE AND IMPORTANCE! from photos you can learn alot, gain analytic skills, develop an attention to

Each and every time I log in to deviantART, I always consider myself fortunate to belong to a community that encourages artists of all skill levels and all ages to display their art and to learn and be stimulated by viewing the diversity and incredible amount of exceptional artworks on this site.

Small Hints how to get views,faves etc.For a lot of you it might be nothing new, but since a lot of you are either new on dA or not experiences with something like "strategies" to get views, comments and faves for their works i thought i write up a few hopefully useful hints for you.
1. Upload as many drawings photos etc. as you can. Some of you would argue now that it can be counterproductive if the deviations are not good, but i come to that point in #2
2. Join Groups. A Ton of them..at least 15-25. And submit your stuff to them on a regular base. BUT only the things you consider by yourself as "good". The rest is for your gallery only, and interesting for those deviants who want to see sketches, WIP's etc.
Always care asbout the theme of the dA groups of course and about their rules. If you are not Alvin Lee, Artgerm or Genzoman or have over 100k views on your profile already and over 400-500 watchers at least you really need dA groups to get known.

unfortunately description of the story is outdated and fails to mention that ron marz is handling the final rewrite to tweak my croatian butchering of english language XD

also pagecount is wrong, it is 140 pages

first issue is 10$

after that 15
for each issue. that on average brings you a series of fantasy graphic novels of 140 pages each.. later some even more..cough
value to eny comic reader is i think obvious, every 4 months you get one issue, that in pagecount equals over 6 standard 4$ issues that are usually done. my idea is a simple one. i dont want to drain people for the small floppy issues and have forced cliffhangers every 20 pages.
i want to make a true full blooded fantasy story, and for that, i need me a nice pagecount XD

but no worries, its loaded with dragons n stuff XD
