ravine-february 2013 here we go!unfortunately description of the story is outdated and fails to mention that ron marz is handling the final rewrite to tweak my croatian butchering of english language XD
also pagecount is wrong, it is 140 pages
first issue is 10$
after that 15
for each issue. that on average brings you a series of fantasy graphic novels of 140 pages each.. later some even more..cough
value to eny comic reader is i think obvious, every 4 months you get one issue, that in pagecount equals over 6 standard 4$ issues that are usually done. my idea is a simple one. i dont want to drain people for the small floppy issues and have forced cliffhangers every 20 pages.
i want to make a true full blooded fantasy story, and for that, i need me a nice pagecount XD
but no worries, its loaded with dragons n stuff XD

okay, so after a swarm of questions many of which left me with my jaw on the floor... i realized something...
people are afraid of pushing a button to see what it does
okay, to backtrack first. i am self taught in photoshop, had no books had no tutorials, had a borrowed i think 7... dunno which was before cs2 when i started, i learned it by ....pressing a button and seeing what it does
i explored, i tried stuff out.
i had no teachers no schools no education on this stuff
i saw a button i pressed it.
that is how about 9 years ago when i first decided to try and apply digital coloring to early pages of ravine, i was dabbing paint on a page. i came to the point where i had to paint a waterfall. so , just for fun i tried putting scattering on the foam brush i made, a simple thing. and i was gonna see if smudge could be scattered. it had a weird side effect.

High Voltage: Back To Business!Hey,
It has been quite sometime since I have written a journal, hasn't it? I hope you are all doing well and surviving the wintry weather alright

. Sometime in December, I said that I was going to stop putting up things on Deviant Art so I can concentrate more. I said that I was going to this for a month or 2. Well, it is now February, and I think it is time to start putting new things back up on DA. Though, I will admit, this year I may not have that much to show. A lot of the artists I had for the action scenes I was creating are taking breaks (due to being busy with life). That means that I will not have that many action scenes this year. I will continue to get characters up, but that is going to slow down as well. This is because I am going to have some weeks where I am willing to show characters and other weeks where I don't want to show the characters I have created. With that being said, I probably won't have a new character up every single week... but I will continue to show

style is just how the artist feels like treating his or her world at any given time!
it is influenced by the styles of other artists the artist admires
it is an amalgamation of influences mixed with personal sensibility....
it is perpetually changing and evolving
and it is not a trademarked property
see, i personally am a mix of influences from michael turner , adam hughes, marc silvestri, alex ross a few concept artist, and my design is greatly influenced by stan winston studio
my cartoonyer style is influenced greatly by disney and don bluth with a dash of manga and a healthy dose of j scott campbell who can probably tell you a similar story about the origins of his own style
its the nature of humanity people.
we stand on each others shoulders striving for greatness. so too will i influence quite a few artists who will adapt my own approaches into their workflow.

you wanna get good....then don't be a hater!okay so here is a tip
i have seen in my life many artists who proclaimed they want to develop their skills, and kept bashing on everyone and everything on the way....and for some reason those guys never got anywhere...
here is why..
there is a value to different approaches, different styles. realism, manga , cartooney disney, my little pony, furries....don't waste your time tryint to bash any of the stuff you don't personally like
you are missing out, bigtime!
see there is a reason why that stuff is popular. and by that i mean on the visual side. so instead of flaming , trolling and bashing, try understanding the inner workings of it.
here are some specific examples
realism- it is a wonderfully complex base , reflects one's skill in capturing reality, but in it there are differences between photo referenced, real life work and no reference. ALL HAVE THEIR VALUE AND IMPORTANCE! from photos you can learn alot, gain analytic skills, develop an attention to

So I got a critique from Tony Anselmo...Yup. My Lonesome Ghostbusters comic kept rolling around the cyber universe and apparently it made a stop in Mr Tony Anselmo's screen.
To those who doesn't know, Tony is the official Donald Duck voice and an acomplished animator.
The critique was short and straight to the point: "Donalds eyes aren't that close together, and No lower eyelid... Goofy's eyes don't blend together into one white area with two pupils. Etc."
So yeah... it wasn't a "nice" critique but, hey, he's the Duck man! I was more impressed by the fact that my fan made comic strip made it all the way to his computer.
I might never hear from him again but that was my geek moment.

Battle Los AngelesI just saw Battle Los Angeles last night. This was truly the greatest, most saintly perfect alien invasion movie I have ever seen. It sanctified my television through the mere act of transmitting its impeccable majesty.
